Body fat percentage is the fraction of your total body mass that is fat, as opposed to lean body mass (muscle, bone, organ tissue, blood, etc.). Body fat percentage is as important to know as your weight, because BFP that is either too high or too low can result in serious health conditions, regardless of whether or not your weight is within an acceptable range.
The chart below will let you know what your recommended body fat percentage should be. We suggest that you have yourself measured at either your gym or doctor’s office to know your starting point.
